The plant portrayed here is the Bottle Palm. These gracious Bottle Palms are short in stature (about ten feet tall), a tad rotund, and can be found growing in private yards as well as at hotels all over the islands.

This particular palm tree grows in outside a friend’s home in Kapolei. As we were leaving an evening of friendship and dominoes, I noticed this wild and crazy palm frond waving in the wind.

Wind Blown: the way you feel when sailing on the ocean. Wind Blown: the way you feel after a good day surfing. Wind Blown: the feeling you have when the sun is kissing your cheeks and the waves are washing over you. Wind Blown: that wild and crazy feeling that life is beautiful and you’re glad to be alive! May that feeling be yours for a long, long time to come.
