This painting wanted to be painted! It began as a poured painting, which leaves a lot to chance/opportunity. My intention was to create a heart painting for Valentine’s Day.

At first, the colors were quite light, and I realized it didn’t have to be a heart. I turned the paper upside down and immediately saw two wings at the top of the page. At first, I thought the top angel was the only angel, but then I saw more wings at the bottom of the page. In the end, five angels appeared to be painted.

Another title for this image is “Accidental Angels.” It makes me smile. I believe in magic and angels and a life beyond the physical life we all experience. May these angels bring comfort, joy, and magic into your life.
