While searching old photos for surf images, the shapes and shadows of the boats in the water captured my attention. They suggested a woman’s form, so I began to play. The result is this Mystical Maiden. She’s much more beautiful than the initial photo. Is she a mermaid? Perhaps. A subtle suggestion of a Moorish Idol sits upon her outstretched arm. Look for more imagery amidst the lines moving throughout the painting. You will find whatever you seek.
