The flowers portrayed in this piece are Obake Anthurium and two types of Ginger. This was my first large watercolor commission painted on canvas. 

“Light” has several meanings. If something isn’t heavy, it’s light. If it’s not dark, it’s light. Light makes things visible. Light connotes a realm of healing and life.

Because this was a commission, I felt my internal pressure to create something beautiful and moving. It was important that you to feel the life force energy of these flowers.

Finally, the light came to me. Time & space opened. I could breathe more easily. I hope you feel its light and love.
